Whidbey Island Kite Festival

Washington State

Washington State is one of the most ecologically diverse states. Travel to the rugged Pacific Coast line or climb Mount St. Helens. Visit Pike Place Market and see the infamous flying fish in the market. Enjoy dinner at the Space Needle as you rotate with a view the city. For skiing in Washington, choose from many mountains like Crystal Mountain, Mt Baker, and Stevens Pass.

everyann Administrator Join Date: Aug 2006 Posts: 258	Whidbey Island Kite Festival This weekend, Camp Casey Conference Center will host the Whidbey Island Kite Festival. I know some of you may be thinking, eh whatever but give it a try! Personally, I thought the same thing a couple years back but I'm glad I attended it at least once. They've got demonstrations and music. Even better...they have these special kites that festival-goers can test out. Believe me, it's not as easy as it looks! There's definitely a different kind of skill to it. Who knew kites could cost nearly 100.00!
