The nearest airport being in Port Angeles which is around 70 miles away. The La Push area is famous for its ocean fishing. Several fishing tour services operate out of the town and report excellent fishing conditions for king, Coho, Chinook and silver salmon, as well as halibut and cod. As well as fishing people seem to go to La Push to experience the surroundings of Olympic National Park. You can visit the park on an organised tour or can decide to take a leisurely stroll there unaided. On the north of the town you could enjoy a day relaxing on the Rialto Beach. Here you can really unwind and enjoy the stunning views it has to offer. The Flattery Rocks National Wildlife Refuge is more than 100 miles long and is home to millions of birds during migration. Although the refuge is closed to humans, wildlife can still be viewed from nearby beaches. La Push also offers impressive waters for surfers and people looking to watch for whales. Visitors to the area would be recommended to check out the Ocean Park Resort and the Longsome Creek Store and Resort.
