Washington State

Washington State is one of the most ecologically diverse states. Travel to the rugged Pacific Coast line or climb Mount St. Helens. Visit Pike Place Market and see the infamous flying fish in the market. Enjoy dinner at the Space Needle as you rotate with a view the city. For skiing in Washington, choose from many mountains like Crystal Mountain, Mt Baker, and Stevens Pass.

Default Views flying into and out of Seattle/Tacoma Airport

Does anyone know which side of the airplance offers the best view when flying into and out of Seattle/Tacoma airport. I would expect that Mount Ranier would be beautiful to see if you were on the correct side of the plane.

Steve,

It is beautiful, weather dependant. Summer time seems to bring landings from the South which you would want to sit on the right side. Winter I've found the planes generally come from the North and you don't even get close to Mt Rainier. But you do get a great view going right over Seattle. Overall for views of Mt Rainier and Seattle you best bet is the rightside. Just my opinion...

Thanks. We will be flying into and out of SeaTac for July 4th so I think we will try the right side. Thanks again.

I agree, I recently flew into Sea-Tac (earlier this month, so...winter) and the flight was at night. I couldn't see Mt. Rainier but I did get a pretty good glimpse overhead of Seattle. I was on the right side of the plane as well.

I flew OUT on the left side and don't remember seeing a thing except for the terrible in-flight magazine.
