Question West Virginia casinos

hello,

does anyone know about pari-mutuel betting and VLT's or video lottery terminals and ho much do they usually return? Also, do West Virginia casinos charge an entry fee and is there any age restrictions?

Default Re: West Virginia casinos

hi there,

As far as I am aware, West Virginia casinos don't charge an entry fee. However, you have to be over 18 years of age.

Pari-mutuel is a type horse betting at racetracks where the winners divide the total winnings in proportion to their original wager.

Pari-mutuel electronic terminals register the bets as they are being made. The machine then calculates and registers the odds and final pay offs.

The VLT's are actually the same to normal electronic gaming terminals, you'd find in Las Vegas casinos, but they are names differently because the VLT's in West Virginia have different regulations.

By the way, the state law also obligates VLT's to administer returns of 80% to 95%, and the different kinds of VLT's available at West Virginia casinos include keno, blackjack, slots and a variety of pokers games.

Hope this helps
