Question Maybe Moving

I am applying for a job in Wisconsin and there are several positions available throughout the state. Can anyone advise on some nice, decent areas to live in for a family? One position I've already applied for is in Kenosha County. Any nice, affordable areas around in this location?

Hi there,

I can say Caledonia and Mount Pleasant are both nice places to live compared to the city of Racine itself. Racine maybe a small city but has a lot of big city problems such as the quality of living and schools are not as good.

Choosing to live anywhere that is north, south, or west of Racine Wisconsin is the better option for quality of living, schools, etc.The only thing is that these areas are very expensive to live in.

Hope this helps

Neighborhoods and schools are important to me. About how far is Caledonia and Mt. Pleasant from Racine? I would be working at the courthouse of Kenosha County but not sure if it is in Racine though that is the city that is listed to send resume. Thanks for the info.

Hi again,

The Village of Caledonia, Wisconsin is located in the northeast corner of Racine County about 11 miles from Racine city. To give you and idea of these two locations in relation to Kenosha County click here to see a map.

Hope this helps
