|  safety at campgrounds I am planning a 2 month camping trip to either Yosemite, or Yellowstone, and I will be camping in a tent and have wondered about safety at campgrounds. Can you safely leave things inside your tent, or do i need to put everything back in their car everyday? I would appreciate any info and/or advice from experienced tent campers. |

| Re: safety at campgrounds That's a very good question! Most people assume that camp-sites are safe and think they can leave their valuables inside their tents. Safety-wise, you should be fine but stuff does gets stolen or "goes missing" in broad daylight even in Yellowstone Park! The best thing is not to leave money and anything valuable inside the tent. Things like sleeping bags should be ok but things like coolers and gas butane tanks need to be kept away. |
