Default Yellowstone/Jackson Hole

I am going to YS in August with my husband and our two college girls. Does anyone have any "don't miss" suggestions for us? We don't want to get caught-up in tourist traps. Thanks.

I would say definitely don't miss Yosemite Falls, Glacier Point, Mariposa Grove, Half Dome. Though, I'm not quite sure how long you'll be staying there. If it's just a day then go to Yosemite Falls. If you've been to the falls, then change it up and do Half Dome. Half Dome will take you quite some time to do.

Hi From Wyoming!

Cheif Joseph Highway is the Ultimate Scenic Route and being a Motor Cycle Enthusiast I must say it is in the Top 3 for Western Traveler's.

Not a House, Homestead, Barn or Piece of Litter the Entire Trip! 6 Levels of Breathtaking, Cliff Dropping, Curvey Curves that Swing Way Out! Everytime you come around you say OHHHHH WOW! White Capped Mountains in the Background on on hot sunny day - Spectacular!

We turned around and did the climb/drop again- just because!

Length: 47 miles / 75.6 km
Time to Allow: Allow at least 1 hour to tour this byway.

Located along the northeastern edge of Yellowstone National Park, the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway offers spectacular views and a unique history. However, not only will you find the breathtaking beauty that Wyoming is known for, you will find world-class opportunities for wildlife viewing, access to a variety of recreation oppportunities, and a chance to see the land where the legendary flight of Chief Joseph and his band of Nez Perce occurred.

A Must Do! Especially if on 2 Wheels~
