| For those of you in the know: when is a good time to go to the Tetons? Is there a lot to do there in the winter? How long does the snow last? |

| Moderator Jr Member | If you're into outdoor sports--and enjoying the vast winter landscape, you can't go wrong with a visit to the Grand Tetons. Many of the lodges are open in the winter, offering a cozy escape from the world. It's not surprising that cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are popular. Other outdoor sports are popular too. In the wintertime, the National Elk Refuge is a great place for a sleigh ride.

| The park is always a gem all year round, though fall and summer are the best time to be there personally because there is more to do. Saying this, if you love skiing, you will love it there. On tip...be sure to arrive in Grand Teton National Park from the the south side so, you get to see the Mountains rise from a plain. |
