Settled at the base of the beautiful Rocky Mountains, Santa Fe New Mexico is the nation's oldest capital city’s and has a varied and fascinating history behind it.  The city is home to a collection of interesting and unique architecture, warm and temperate climate, an exciting calender of events, a range of great dining and shopping and activities galore. The only difficulty in staying in Santa Fe is trying to choose between the spread of hotels, casitas, cabins, resorts, inns and bed and breakfasts! There are great Santa Fe hotels all around the city and many of the city’s accommodations can be found conveniently located in the heart of it all.


There are a range of Santa Fe hotels centrally located and most are decorated charmingly and with a Southwestern. There are many historic Santa Fe New Mexico hotels but among the oldest is La Fonda, located downtown. Santa Fe was founded in 1607 and official records show that Las Fonda was one of the first inns established at that time and it is still serving guests and providing accommodation some 400 years later. Las Fonda was restructured in 1922 yet still maintains its historical virtue and original architectural design. It now features 167 suites and guest rooms defined by  hand painted furniture, vibrant decor, balconies and fireplaces. La Fonda also has an outdoor hot tub, heated pool, massage room and fitness center. Many downtown Santa Fe attractions can be accesses on foot from La Fonda’s location in the center of town.


Santa Fe New Mexico hotels are so varied that they allow you to stay within the family budget, live in the lap of luxury or choose something in between for a little variety. Located in downtown Santa Fe Hotel St. Francis was built in 1880 and is designated as one of the town’s historic hotels. This is one of the oldest esteemed Santa Fe New Mexico hotels and offers luxury accommodations, excellent hotel services and is within walking distance of downtown Santa Fe attractions. There are 82 guest rooms, concierge services, and guided walking and shuttle tours leaving daily from the hotel. Dining at St Francis hotel is a unique experience and the on site restaurant boasts its own renowned chef. St. Francis is found near Old Canyon Road,the histroic town of Taos, Ski Santa Fe and Bandelier National Monument


For the absolute ultimate in extravagance and luxury the Inn of Five Graces, located in a historic area on the corner of the Old Santa Fe Trail. This hotel is next door to the Santa Fe Playhouse, and across the road from the acclaimed San Miguel Mission and supplies accommodations and treatment fit for royalty. This hotel is surprising and unique blend of the Orient and the Wild West and offers first class services for its guests. The Inn of Five Graces most prestigious and largest of guest accommodation is a private house named the Luminaria House. The house is so beautiful inside and out that it might make you want to sing when you see it! The house flaunts front and rear entrances, 2nd floor balconies inside and out, ground floor patios and an indoor and outdoor fireplace.
