The main tourist area of Los Vegas where you will find the largest hotels and main Casinos, as well as the top neon lit landmarks of the city is along the Los Vegas Strip. This stretch of Los Vegas Boulevard cuts through the absolute heart of the city and stretches north from the airport.

The chances are that if you are travelling to Los Vegas on holiday, then you will be staying in one of the hotels on the Los Vegas Strip. The Strip is like nowhere else in the world, and is a place where you will see some truly amazing sights, as well as find almost all the main family attractions in the city.

One thing that Los Vegas is particularly well known for is the Bellagio hotel on the Los Vegas Strip, and this is where you can see one of the best free shows in the city.

No-one should miss out on the chance to see the fountains outside this luxury hotel, and even if you can’t afford to stay there, it is a must see attraction.

Other Los Vegas strip attractions include several amusement parks – particularly the one at the Stratosphere, which has some great rides, and of course the chance to simply explore and see all that is available there – especially in the evening, when there are always plenty of people milling around having fun.

Because the Los Vegas Strip is such a major tourist centre, the chances are that if you visit the city, and stick to the area around the main hotels, then you may never actually meet any of the locals, but this is not necessarily a bad thing, and you may well discover that mixing with people from all over the world is a really eye opening experience.
