Tucked in between the Burj
Al Arab and the Jumeirah
Beach Hotel bordering famous Jumeirah
Beach, is one of the most exciting family attractions
in the UAE, Wild Wadi Waterpark Dubai.
Comprising twelve acres of incredible ‘wet and wild’
fun, Wild Wadi in Dubai is less than a half hour drive
from the heart of the city. The theme park is purely water-based
and has twenty-four heart-racing, modern slides, rides
and other attractions ideal for all ages to enjoy. Those
heading to the park during UAE vacations
can easily get there along Jumeirah Beach Road. Public
transportation makes
the trip numerous times daily.
The Arabic word “wadi” means a type of riverbed or valley that fills with water when rainfalls are heavy. Wild Wadi UAE is patterned after an incredible oasis with many interconnecting attractions and rides. Admission includes body boards, rubber tubes and life jackets as well as access to all the park’s attractions. Almost one hundred lifeguards are on throughout each day allowing parents to relax and have fun too.
The Burj Al Arab offers complimentary admission to Wild Wadi Water Park while the Madinat Jumeirah and a host of other Dubai hotels offer discounted rates and up to one hour early admission to beat the crowds. With a boogie board included in admission prices, families on UAE holidays can choose their level and the appropriate board and receive instruction for a number of tricks. There’s also a new kind of surfing called stand-up flow-boarding to try out while tunes blare and cheering crowds watch on.
Wild Wadi Waterpark Dubai also features the Wave Park where a double-point wave break is tackled by some of the best surfers and visitors. The wave park includes a number of cool features like Wave House Durban South Africa boarders who show off their vibrant style and unique tricks. A new and exciting partnership between Wild Wadi UAE and Ski Dubai, located inside the colossal Mall of the Emirates, marks the beginning of both surfing and snowboarding competitions. The competitions move between Wild Wadi in Dubai and Ski Dubai on designated days of the week.
Among the most exciting things
to do inside Wild Wadi Water Park include trying out
the electrifying rides. The most popular ride by far is
Jumeirah Sceirah. Fly down 355 meters of water slide at
up to 80 kilometers an hour! Hurtle down the more than
1800-foot Rushdown Ravine for white-knuckle spills and
chills or head to the center of the park for the best
panoramic views of the area while hunkering down on your
own sun bed and catching some rays. Other rides include
the lazy river trip down Juha’s Journey, Flood River
with more than 20-foot waves and over 100,000 liters of
cool water and Breaker’s Bay wave pool. Aside from
the sandy shores along Dubai
beaches, Wild Wadi Water Park is one of the most fun
places to cool down and savor the refreshing water.
At Wild Wadi in Dubai shopping
is another pleasure visitors can enjoy. Wild Wadi's Souq
Al Wadi, fashioned after a deep, mysterious cavern, offers
numerous retail items and souvenirs for the entire family.
Wild Wadi Water UAE dining includes favorite fast food
items like pizza and hotdogs as well as healthy options,
a barbeque station and a number of stands offering treats
like ice cream and sodas.
Wild Wadi Waterpark Dubai closing hours differ throughout the year. The park always opens at 11am. From November through February the park closes at 6pm, in September and October and from March through May it closes at 7pm and June through August the closing hour is 9pm.
