Victoria Boutique Hotels

Victoria boutique hotels provide places to stay with style and distinctive surroundings. If you're looking for something special in this charming seaside town on Vancouver Island, you'll enjoy a stay at one of the boutique hotels.

These Victoria hotels are usually not part of chains; each one has its own special charm as well as staffs eager to provide a welcome and make your vacation one to remember. Many of the boutique hotels have rates that are much less than you might expect. For the same price as staying at a cookie-cutter chain, you could enjoy luxury accommodations and a host of welcoming amenities for Victoria vacations.

There's no hotel anywhere quite like Abigail's Hotel (pictured). Located in a transformed Tudor-style building at 906 McClure Street, the 23-room property is one of the most romantic downtown Victoria boutique hotels. This consistent award-winning property offers a number packages and rates that might surprise you. With prices more along the lines of cheap hotels, Abigail's Hotel is a great value and a welcoming place to stay on any Victoria getaway. This boutique hotel offers four levels of guestrooms, all with flat-screen TVs and luxury linens. A three-course breakfast is served every morning for all guests, followed by complimentary hors d'oeuvres each evening. Many of Victoria's restaurants are within walking distance for the other meals of the day. Other perks for guests include 24-hour tea and coffee service, a comfortable lounge, and complimentary WiFi and parking.

Another one of the downtown Victoria boutique hotels with style, the Magnolia Boutique & Spa, is located just minutes from the Inner Harbour at 623 Courtney Street. This elegant and welcoming hotel is home to 64 guestrooms with European-influenced decor, complete with crown molding, marble baths, and floor-to-ceiling windows perfect for enjoying the views of downtown Victoria and the harbor. Guests are treated to fresh fruit and bottled water upon arrival and nightly turn-down service, along with complimentary high-speed Internet access. The Mangolia also has a steakhouse, spa, and a fitness center with a sauna. Like many Victoria Hotels, the hotel offers specialized packages, perfect for girlfriends spa-and-shopping weekends or romantic getaways.

The Gatsby Mansion is another one of the downtown Victoria boutique hotels that looks like no other. The official address is 309 Belleville Street, but the hotel includes three elegant houses from the Victorian era. The namesake mansion is a Queen-Anne gem built in 1897, while the Judges House from about 1877 is more Italianate in design. The Middle House, another elegant place to stay, is the oldest of the three, built in 1872. None of the guestrooms matches another, as all have individual charm. No matter which of the houses you'll call home during your Victoria vacation, you can expect to find elegant design and modern amenities. The Gatsby's dining options include a restaurant in the main mansion; many guests also dine at a restaurant in the nearby Huntingdon Hotel & Suites. Afternoon tea, a little smaller in scale than the one served at the Empress Hotel, is an enjoyable experience for Gatsby guests. As you'd expect for Victoria boutique hotels, the Gatsby Mansion is known for its personalized service and vacation packages, including a Victorian Christmas and a garden tour.
