Glen Eden

Glen Eden is one of the many ski resorts in Ontario, Canada, where you will find viable terrain for both beginner and advanced skiers and snowboarders. The Glen Eden Ski Area is located just 30 minutes from Mississauga and is easily accessible from Niagara Falls and Toronto. The centerpiece of the lovely landscape is the breathtaking Niagara Escarpment. As with many of the other ski areas in the region, the Glen Eden Resort is within close proximity of lots other resorts. There are eight separate resorts located within an hour of Glen Eden and four within a half hour. Ski vacations at Glen Eden are quite complete on their own, or you could opt to tour around the region and visit the likes of Centennial Park, the Uplands, and Hockley Valley as well. Although there are no slope-side accommodations at Glen Eden, you will find plenty of options at your disposal in the town of Milton where the resort is located.

There are twelve ski runs altogether at the Glen Eden Ski Area. They are divided up in such a way that people of all ages and skill levels will be able to optimize their experience at the resort. There is plenty of beginner terrain on the south side of the slopes where instructors from the Learning Centre at Glen Eden help people of all ages perfect their skills on the slopes. These slopes comprise about 9 percent of all the ski runs at the resort, while 55 percent of the runs are for intermediates, and 36 percent are for advanced skiers and snowboarders. The Glen Eden snowboard terrain park is also one of the big attractions at this resort in Ontario. There are all kinds jumps and a generally awesome set-up with downhill action, rails, and a lot more. The tube park is another one of the amazing features at the Glen Eden Resort. If the kids are not yet ready to take the slopes on a board or skis, this is a fantastic way to allow them to feel the exhilaration of downhill excitement. Not to mention, it is also a lot of fun for the adults. And although the Glen Eden Ski Area is what this destination is best known for, there are a range of activities and attractions that go on throughout the year.

In the spring and summer seasons, a whole range of activities become available at Glen Eden. Whether it is mountain biking or hiking, boating or fishing, camping or swimming, you will find something to suit just about everyone. One of the best things to do is to take advantage of the breathtaking terrain overlooking the Niagara Escarpment by taking a camping trip to Glen Eden. This can be a super cheap trip that is a lot of fun. Strap the bikes on the back of the car and pack up the tent because some of the most beautiful terrain in southern Ontario awaits. The Glen Eden Resort is wonderful for both winter and summer sports. It has one of the most extensive lighting systems in the province so activities can be enjoyed even after the sun goes down.
