Golf Canada

Luckily for golf lovers, golf Canada is a year-round sport in some parts of the country.   The popularity of golf has increased in recent years as connoisseurs have discovered Canada’s potential as a golf wonderland.

In Vancouver, golf can be played throughout the four seasons.  Within the city there are five 18-hole courses and several pitch-and-putt courses.  In the outskirts of the city there are dozens more.  The leading private golf clubs Canada are located on the North shore and within the city of Vancouver (most of them toward the University of British Columbia).  Some of the best golf clubs Canada in Vancouver include: Marine Drive Golf Club, Point Grey and Country Club, Capilano Golf and Country Club and Seymour Golf and Country Club.

There are a number of outstanding public golf courses in Vancouver run by the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation.  The University Golf Club is one of the few golf clubs Canada that is public and does not require membership.  This golf course Canada has a 6,560-yard, par-71 course and extras like a bar and grill, locker rooms and a sports lounge.  The Langara Golf Course is also open to the public, and offers discounts to seniors.

On the other side of the country, on Prince Edward Island, a solid reputation for golf has been established.  PEI maintains beautiful courses with ocean views with prices that create great appeal for American clientele.  In 1999 alone three new courses opened.

One golf course Canada with a loyal following is the Links at Crowbush Cove on the northeastern coast of the island.  Links at Crowbush Cove is known for challenging courses marked by sand dunes and unrelenting winds.  Another popular name in golf Canada is the Brudenell River Golf Course on the eastern shore, close to Montague.  In 1999 this golf Canada course was expanded to include the new Canadian Golf Academy.

Two other golf courses worth mentioning are Kananaskis Country Golf Course and Canmore Golf Course, both in Alberta.  The former is set among forests and streams, boasting two 18-hole, par-72 courses and is the preferred golf course Canada by many locals.  Canmore Golf Course is located next to the Bow River, outside of the city of Canmore.
