Niagara Falls Canada

Being a famous honeymooning spot and the 7th natural wonder of the world, it’s no wonder that Niagara Falls tourism is still growing strong, year after year.  One reason might be that there is so much more that Niagara Falls Canada has to offer besides a nice view.  Though it is most often trafficked by honeymooners and retirees, Niagara Falls is also a fantastic place for families and adventurers to explore.  Niagara Falls vacations can be romantic, daring, fun, or relaxing, depending on your taste.

The place to start and most obvious draw of Niagara Falls tourism are the falls themselves.  But what is the best way to see them?  You may want to try seeing the falls from a boat, like the Maid of the Mist which takes you right through the waters around all of the main attractions.  This is a very wet but enjoyable way to get ‘up-close and personal’ with the falls.

Another soggy option of seeing Niagara Falls is via the elevator at Table Rock House.  The elevator will drop you 151 feet through the rocks to an area where you’ll be able to view the falls from behind.

If you prefer not to get wet, you may want to try seeing the falls from the Skylon Tower Observation Deck.  There is also a restaurant at the top of the deck, though it definitely takes advantage of Niagara Falls tourism, and the expensive prices reflect this.

No matter which way you choose to see the falls during the daytime, don’t miss the chance to take a look at the falls at night.   In the evening, twenty two spotlights illuminate the falls with a rainbow of colors.  This light show takes place at different times all year round, so make sure you check the schedule before you go.

Niagara Falls vacations don’t have to always revolve around seeing the falls.  There are so many other highlights along the Niagara Parkway and within the town of Niagara Falls Canada that you might decide to stay an extra week to see it all.

For a view and adventure to remember, take the Whirlpool Aero Car across the Niagara Whirlpool. In this cable car, you will be whisked 3,600ft between two points, overlooking a beautiful landscape.

Niagara Falls vacations don’t often include a lot of activities especially for kids.  Thankfully there is MarineLand in Niagara Falls Canada.  For fun that the whole family can enjoy, take the kids to MarineLand where kids will be thrilled to see sea lions, dolphins and killer whales in shows and up-close in an observation tank.  There is also a wildlife display where children can feed and pet deer and see bears and elk.  If this weren’t enough, there are also number of theme-park rides and three restaurants.

Fruit farms, wineries, botanical gardens and a butterfly conservatory also make the list of off-the-beaten-path of Niagara Falls tourism spots.  All of these can be found on the Niagara Parkway, and brochures can be found at any tourist booth.

Niagara Falls weddings are a popular way to have a spectacular ceremony and honeymoon all in one location.  There are many agencies that will help you to book everything that you need. Niagara Falls weddings allow you to marry in a picturesque setting that both you and your guests can enjoy!
