Toronto Taxi

Toronto taxi service is just one of the many transportation options in this major metropolitan center of nearly 3 million people. The Greater Toronto Area and the area known as the Golden Horseshoe are home to over one quarter of the entire Canadian population, nearly 9 million people in sum. Toronto is a very active community and the transportation system is an efficient means of moving everyone around. If you do not want to utilize the underground train system, you have a number of other options at your disposal. From Toronto limos to taxis and buses, there is sure to be an option that suits your budget and desired mode of transport.

It is possible to find a cheap Toronto airport taxi with fixed rates from many parts of the city. The GTAA licenses 360 taxis and 276 Toronto limos that serve Lester B. Pearson International Airport, ensuring that all of the vehicles in the fleet maintain a certain level of quality and that passengers are consistently charged a fair and fixed rate.

You never have to make arrangements in advance to get a Toronto Airport limo at Lester Pearson International. You can find either a Toronto taxi or limo at the Arrivals Level of each terminal at the airport. Pearson International is about seventeen miles northwest of the city and rates for both cabs and limos are fixed when you make your reservations upon arrival at the airport.

Many of the nicer hotels, especially those located within close proximity of the airport, offer complimentary shuttle service to Pearson. If you are staying at an accommodation that does not offer complimentary transportation it is easy to get a cheap Toronto airport taxi. Fares for a Toronto taxi from any of the airport hotels are relatively inexpensive, and even if you are staying downtown, you could choose more expensive ways to get to the airport than in a cab, including the upscale Toronto limos, for instance. Although fares for limos are not grossly more expensive than rates for cabs, you can expect to pay more and be expected to tip more. But, if you are traveling in a big group, renting a limo to transport you to your hotel in downtown Toronto may be the perfect way to kick off your vacation.

Toronto offers a wide variety of attractions and activities for its residents and visitors. Finding a cheap Toronto airport taxi or figuring out the maps of the underground train system will be amongst the least of your concerns. What will be the most difficult is choosing between all of the things to do in the city. You can take a ferry to one of the Toronto Islands for a nature walk or to relax on the beach. Attractions like the CN Tower, Casa Loma, and The Royal Ontario Museum make for an informative and exciting afternoon of sightseeing, and there are a plethora of restaurants, bars, and clubs all throughout the downtown core and the surrounding areas. Use a Toronto taxi if you need to catch a quick ride, but consider getting familiar with the train system to take full advantage of cheap public transport in the city.
