Whistler Olympic Park will be home to various events
in the upcoming 2010 Olympics in Canada. Located in the
Blackcomb Mountains, Whistler Park is offering three
venues for the Olympics in Canada including the Whistler
Sliding Centre, Whistler Creekside, and the Whistler Olympic
Park/Whistler Paralympic Park.
With three venues, the Whistler Winter
Olympics will prove to be an exciting place to be
in 2010. Not only is Whistler Park going to be the happening
location for the 2010 Olympics in Canada, but it is also
a well-known ski resort area
offering guests many outdoor winter activities along with
royal treatment.
The Whistler Sliding Centre in Whistler Olympic Park will host competitions such as the bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton for both men and women and the bobsleigh will include two-man teams as well as four-man teams.
The Whistler Creekside will be the scene of alpine skiing
and paralympic alpine skiing. Whistler Winter Olympics
held here will be awesome for the men’s downhill
course—the Dave Murray Downhill—as it is one
of the most well-known courses in Canada.
The Whistler Olympic Park/Whistler Paralympic Park will be the home to the Whistler Winter Olympics events such as biathlon, paralympic biathlon, cross-country skiing, paralympic cross country skiing, Nordic combined, and ski jumping.
