Caleta Beach

Caleta Beach is one of the most popular resort areas in the city of Acapulco. It is situated in the very heart of the historic district in Acapulco and is constantly bustling with activity. During the busiest times for tourism in the city, the beach tends to be jam packed with people that stay at the various resorts and luxury hotels in the immediate area. Playa Caleta Acapulco is not necessarily the prettiest beach in the entire city, but it definitely offers a lot in the way of things to do, public facilities, and beach amenities.
This is one of the beaches in Acapulco that offers everything from changing rooms and showers, to beach bars and equipment rentals. There are sometimes lifeguards on duty on the stretches of beach right outside the hotels, but a good general rule on the beaches of Mexico is to exercise extra caution, especially with the kids. The beaches simply get too crowded for the lifeguards to keep watch on everyone.
Caleta Beach is good for families with kids because of the calm surf and wide beach. One drawback is the presence of people selling things all over the place. These beach vendors can get a little pushy if you allow it, so just offer a firm and kind “no,” if you are not interested in their wares. Just a few of the activities that people enjoy on Caleta beach are scuba and snorkeling, parasailing, jet skiing, and boogie boarding.
