Cabo Wabo Cantina is one of the most popular night spots in Cabo San Lucas, which is known for its raucous party atmosphere. It was established in 1990 by Sammy Hagar, a legend of heavy metal and hard rock who was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fames and was for many years, first a member of the band Montrose and later Van Halen. Part of the cachet of the establishment is that Hagar himself sometimes performs here with his group, the Wabaritas. This club is part of a chain, and you can also find a Cabo Wabo Cantina in places like Las Vegas.
Cabo Wabo Cantina
As with other popular clubs, like El Squid Roe, the service at the Cabo Wabo Cantina is quick and efficient. Beers never grown warm, tequila shots (Hagar founded his own brand of tequila called Cabo Wabo) are sold like hot dogs at a baseball game, and the music is loud and non-stop. There is live music and entertainment daily with musicians from around the world.
