Hotel Finisterra

Stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez, a spectacular private beach, and luxuriously appointed rooms are just a few of the stellar attractions of the Hotel Finisterra in Baja. The Finisterra Resort has different sections for accommodations, the Finisterra and Palapa Beach Club, each offering luxurious lodging and spectacular views. Visitors will find a variety of activities available through the resort, such as deep sea fishing and sailboat cruises, and there are several nearby attractions for day trips that are sure to interest many guests of the Hotel Finisterra.
The original structure of the Finisterra Resort was built into a rocky cliff, and after renovations and the Palapa Club addition, the critically acclaimed architecture is now a stunning part of the landscape in Cabo San Lucas. The city is a year-round destination, but tourist season is in full swing from October to the end of April, so be prepared for crowds if you plan to visit during this time of year, particularly during the spring break weeks of March and April. Despite the hot desert setting, the Hotel Finisterra offers its guests a comfortable setting, as the offshore winds blow in each evening, creating the perfect time to stroll along the beach or enjoy an evening cocktail. In addition, visitors will find a number of services and amenities onsite, including rental cars, shopping, baby sitting, and activity reservations.
The two sections of the Hotel Finisterra Cabo San Lucas, the Finisterra, built into the cliff side, and the towering modern Palapa Beach Club, are separated by waterfalls tumbling over the rocks between; guests can travel between the two buildings via a skywalk on the seventh floor of the Palapa Beach Club tower. The rooms in the Finisterra section were constructed with simplicity and practicality in mind, and as there are only a few floors, no elevators were installed in these buildings. The most spectacular feature of these rooms is the breathtaking scenery, which can be viewed from the patios and balconies. The Palapa Beach Club offers a variety of contemporary accommodations at the Finisterra Resort, beginning with the simplest marina and oceanview rooms. For additional luxury, the one-bedroom suite offers a complete apartment with separate living, dining, and kitchen areas, and the Whale Watcher two-bedroom suite atop the Whale Watcher Bar featuring private terraces in each bedroom.
The Hotel Finisterra Cabo San Lucas offers a large selection of activities which can be reserved with the concierge service, including tees time for golfing, scuba diving and snorkeling excursions, deep sea fishing, and boat tours that take place during the day and in the evening. Day trips are an excellent option for those who book rental cars, as the cities of Santiago, Todos Santos, and La Paz are all within an hour or two of Cabo San Lucas by car.
When you get hungry, the dining options at the Hotel Finisterra Cabo San Lucas are sure to satisfy. Guests can grab a bite at the Blue Marlin Restaurant or the Palapa Restaurant, whose poolside location allows you to relax outdoors while you eat. If you’d like to spend your full day at the pool, have your evening cocktail with friends at the swim up bar, or if you would rather stay dry, enjoy the views from the Whale Watcher.
With a host of local attractions and amenities, the days of your vacation at Land’s End will be filled with an assortment of things to do. Whether you plan to spend time pursuing exhilarating outdoor activities or simply relaxing in the sand or at a spa, Cabo San Lucas offers the perfect vacation opportunities. And with such spectacular lodging as you’ll find at the Hotel Finisterra, it’s virtually guaranteed that the good memories you make here will last a lifetime.
