The Grand Oasis Cancun sits of the Cancun Hotel Zone, a narrow strip of land surrounded by a lagoon and the Caribbean Sea. The large 736-room hotel stands out among the Cancun resorts on the strip, as it is shaped like a Mayan pyramid. There are many things to do at the hotel, such as golfing, enjoying the pool, or dancing the night away in the disco.

Within walking distance of the hotel is the El Rey archaeological site, the largest Mayan archaeological site in Cancun believed to be a King’s tomb. Archaeologists estimate that the site was built in 300 A.D. The Tulum archaeological ruins, another important site, are 65 miles away and can be accessed by rental car.
