Mazatlan Nightlife

Mazatlan nightlife is endlessly fun, and whether you’re visiting Mexico as part of a couple, on your own, or as a college student on Spring Break, you’ll find no shortage of excitement. In particular, there’s plenty of entertainment, particularly in the nightclubs around the Zona Dorada, or Golden Zone. Travelers will find a variety of nightclubs offering live shows, music, dancing, and excellent cocktails. Whatever your interests are, there is never a dull moment as the city comes alive with its assortment of bars and clubs.

The focus for Mazatlan nightlife is at Fiestaland, an expansive white stone complex on a jetty overlooking the water. The Moorish architecture of the complex stands out against the blue skies and turquoise waters and is in sharp contrast to the multiple venues it houses. The Fiestaland complex includes a variety of restaurants, sports bars, piano bar, nightclubs, and the Valentinos Mazatlan dance club. Adjacent to Valentinos is Bora Bora Mazatlan, an upbeat nightclub and the place to see and be seen for more party time.

At Valentinos Mazatlan, be prepared for the best music and dance location in town. The club has a three-tiered design, a see-through acrylic dance floor, and an in-house DJ. A high-tech light show, laser beams, and smoke wafting over the dance floor accompany the music. Valentinos Mazatlan can accommodate 1,200 people, but as it’s so popular, be prepared for a crowd. The atmosphere is upbeat and upscale casual and the club stays open until 4am for plenty of party time.

Bora Bora Mazatlan also offers guests the best of both worlds. Hot music, high-energy, casual dress, and dancing until late into the night are at the top of the list at this 2,000-person-capacity high-energy bar. At Bora Bora, dancing is the main attraction: There are two dance floor locations, elevated dance cages, and a large bar that serves drinks and allows dancing on top. If your travel plans bring you to Mazatlan during spring break, be prepared for elbow-to-elbow crowds, as this becomes the place for college students to hang out, meaning it shouldn’t be at the top of your list if you’re looking for a more low-key night out or a less-crowded nightclub.

One of the most visited nightclub destinations for locals and tourists is Senor Frogs Mazatlan where dining and dancing fill the entertainment bill. With several locations throughout in the US, Mexico, and Venezuela, Senor Frogs Mazatlan is the original location of the nightclub chain and continues to be a popular destination for locals to gather for an evening of dancing and dining. The menu at Senor Frogs Mazatlan includes a variety of authentic Mexican dishes along with American favorites such as BBQ ribs and wings. The full-service bar has everything from domestic imports, local Mexican brews, and ice-cold margaritas. At Senor Frogs, the atmosphere promotes good fun, good food, and good socializing where patrons enjoy themselves to the fullest with music and dancing.

If you’re looking for a more unusual way to spend the evenings, you can also look into boat tours and dinner cruises that can get you out on the water for a pleasant and relaxing evening. Watching the sun set from the beach is another popular option for the evenings in Mazatlan, and many people head for one of the area beaches prior to visiting restaurants and nightclubs.
