Playa Cerritos, just like nearby Playa Brujas, offers a nice stretch of quiet sand that extends north to Punta Cerritos. While Brujas is slightly more isolated than Playa Cerritos Mazatlan, this particular beach still offers an atmosphere among the least bustling of coastal areas in the city, where vacationers will find plenty of opportunities for relaxing on the sand and avoiding the crowds that center on the Zona Dorada.
Located in what is called Zona Cerritos, just about 20 minutes from the city center, Playa Cerritos offers plenty of space and charming surroundings without the necessity of traveling far from the main attractions of Mazatlan. Although in recent years several resorts and condos have been constructed in the area, Cerritos remains less crowded than many of the other beaches along the coastal areas of the city. Soft white sand, blue waters, palm trees, and beautiful rock formations come together to form the enchanting shore line of Playa Cerritos Mazatlan.
Visitors can participate in a variety of activities, such as surfing the full waves that touch down on these shores, taking a peaceful stroll at just about any time of the day (and maybe snagging a few seashells and driftwood at low tide), or enjoying a picnic with friends. Along the beach of Playa Cerritos are several open-air restaurants, featuring that wonderful touch of a thatched roof and, of course, a delectable selection of fresh local cuisine.
Whether you plan to relax on the beach solo or plan a trip with friends or family, adventuring this stretch of sand, Playa Cerritos is a must see during a vacation in Mazatlan.
