Mamitas Beach

Mamitas Beach is a place that you won't want to miss while visiting the Mexican Riviera destination of Playa del Carmen. Easily one of the most beautiful beaches in the area, this strip of sand is home to the famed Mamitas Beach Club, and this is a big reason why it is so popular. This beach club offers beach beds with optional curtains, or you can hope to secure a beach chair instead. Umbrella rentals are also available, and the Mamitas staff is there to help you with any and all rental services.

Mamitas Beach Playa del Carmen is popular with locals and tourists alike. Much of its allure lies in the upbeat and casual atmosphere, and it certainly doesn't hurt that it is a beautiful stretch of sand. Soft white sand meets turquoise water at Mamitas Beach, much like you would expect in the Caribbean, and should you wish to do more than sunbathe, it is an excellent place to do some Playa del Carmen snorkeling. Snorkeling equipment is available if you need it. Other things that the Mamitas Beach Club offers are a full-service restaurant, a sushi bar, a beach bar, and a DJ booth. You'll also find a pool at Mamitas Beach that club guests can use, as well as restrooms and dressing rooms. The upfront club fee covers everything, except for certain spa treatments, so it's not unlike being at a Playa del Carmen all inclusive resort.

Mamitas Beach ranks high among the Playa del Carmen beaches, and no visit to the Mexican Riviera would arguably be complete without dropping by for a look. It should be noted that topless bathing is a common practice at Mamitas Beach Playa del Carmen, and thong bikinis are typically in good supply. There is a strong European influence in Playa del Carmen, so you can expect the same kind of liberal nature at many of the area beaches.

Mamitas Beach can be found just north of the new pier in Playa del Carmen. More specifically, it is situated at the end of Constituentes Avenue. The address is Calle 28 Norte, and parking is available if you are planning on driving over from somewhere like the Playacar area or Cancun.
