Playa Del Carmen Hotels

Playa del Carmen hotels are some of the best features of what was once a quaint fishing village on the coast and is now one of the fastest growing cities in Mexico. It is popular with adventurous travelers who like to sky dive, scuba dive, and snorkel in the ocean, as well as those seeking a relaxing beach vacation in one of many Playa del Carmen beach hotels. Playa del Carmen hotels are a great option for people who want to pack a lot of activities into their vacation, but don’t have a lot of time to plan. There are many types of accommodations in Playa del Carmen, from all inclusive resorts that provide nightlife and daily activities, to private apartments. Playa del Carmen lodging most often appeals to honeymooners and adults. In fact, there are many adults-only options for Playa del Carmen lodging. No matter which types of accommodations in Playa del Carmen you’re interested in, you’ll be staying in one of the most scenic coastal towns on the Mayan Riviera.

The majority of Playa del Carmen hotels are located on the beach. Not only is the Acanto Hotel and Suites located on the beach, but it also offers a sense of privacy and that isn’t usually found at other Playa del Carmen beach hotels. It is situated on a secluded street, but is also close to the restaurants and shopping centers that the city is famous for. Each one of the rooms is decorated with dramatic Asian elements, such as figures of Buddha, and the rooms feature a rich palette of black, brown, and red. The spacious rooms also have a full kitchen, a sitting area, and a queen-sized bed. Outside, visitors can relax in a softly lit pool or lounge in the courtyard.

The Hotel Lunata isn’t quite as secluded as the Acanto Hotel, but nonetheless, it’s a comfortable and affordable choice for Playa del Carmen lodging. Guests can choose between standard rooms or junior and deluxe suites. Each spacious and well-decorated room features air conditioning, a TV, two queen-sized or one king-sized bed, and a safe. The suites have a refrigerator. Unlike most accommodations in Playa del Carmen, rooms in the Hotel Lunata do not have phones. If you need to make phone calls, it is suggested that you buy a calling card from a convenience store and use a payphone, or buy an international calling plan for your cell phone. The nightly rate of the room includes a complimentary continental breakfast. If you want to do some exploring on your own, you can rent a bike from the front desk or rent watersports equipment. Because Hotel Lunata is geared for adults, children under the age of 13 aren’t allowed to stay at the hotel.

Another option for Playa Del Carmen hotels is the Paraiso de la Bonita, located in the northern part of Playa del Carmen. The 90-unit luxury hotel offers a luxury spa offering services such as sea algae wraps and salt exfoliation treatments. The rooms have balconies that overlook a pristine beach and a manicured pool area. There are two restaurants and bars to choose from, as well as four outdoor pools, two Jacuzzis, a well-lit tennis court, and watersports equipment rental. Nonsmoking rooms as well as dry cleaning services are available upon request.
