Taxco Mexico is widely known as the silver capital of the world. Featuring almost 1,000 silver shops, shopping for silver jewelry is the main tourist attraction to Taxco Mexico. Although many travelers come to Taxco Mexico for just the day, the quaint colonial feel of Taxco may make you want to stay the night. Cozy stucco buildings line the streets of most of the town, and Taxco has a few excellent Mexico hotels.

While many a hotel Taxco offers is on the small side, for scores of travelers this is an advantage. Historical Taxco hotels abound in the city, and guests who like to mix colonial history in with their Mexico hotels will quickly fall in love with Taxco hotels.

Hotel Victoria

Featuring an onsite restaurant and a small outdoor pool, guests of the Hotel Victoria will be pleased to find that the most well located hotel Taxco offers. Located along the foothills of the Sierra Madre, the Hotel Victoria has a stunning view of the town below. While most Taxco hotels do have great views, the Hotel Victoria has the best. Even if you don't make your Mexico travel plans at this hotel, it will be well worth your time to dine or have a drink at the bar of the Hotel Victoria during sunset, and take in the lovely scene.

Hotel Los Arcos

Occupying a building that was originally built in 1620 as a monastery, the Hotel Los Arcos is a beautiful structure and the prettiest hotel Taxco is home to. Elegant furnishings grace the airy rooms, and most of the decoration is in white. As one of the most simple of Mexico hotels, guests will find that there are not many extra amenities, such as pools or spas. However, the staff is excellent, and a tour of the monastery is a must, even if you don't plan to stay the night.

Hostels in Taxco Mexico

Located in and around Taxco Mexico, hostels are an excellent way to find inexpensive accommodation with Mexico vacations. Since many tourists plan just a quick stop in Taxco Mexico as part of their Mexico travel, hostels are a great way for these guests to find a clean, comfortable place to rest for just a night.

Mexico vacations often include an incredible array of activity. From beach combing to more active pursuits like scuba diving and sightseeing, Mexico vacations are exhilarating. Taxco Mexico offers a unique chance to stay for just a day, or a weekend. No matter what you choose, Taxco is about a four-hour drive from Mexico City and is well worth the trip.
