Talladega Hotels

If you're looking for a cheap accommodation in Talladega, then you're in luck, as the few hotels found in town are of the discount variety. As such, those looking for something a little more upscale will do well to stay at one of the area bed and breakfasts. Talladega lodging isn't limited to in-town hotels and bed and breakfasts necessarily, as there are also some good campsites in the area. Should you be heading to Talladega to catch a race at the Talladega Speedway, you can also try to book a private home or apartment, as some become available during the big racing weeks. Since the Talladega lodging options are a bit scarce, it can be hard to decide where to stay. The following recommendations aim to present some of the better options, so you can use them to help you make your ultimate decision.

The Super 8 Talladega hotel is pretty much the best pick when it comes to Talladega hotels that are actually in the city. In addition to being close to Interstate 77, this cheap accommodation in Talladega is also close to most of the city's major restaurants, so while it lacks an onsite eatery, you won't have to go far to find a meal. Clean and comfortable rooms are what the Super 8 Talladega has to offer, and though they might lack in decor, they are pretty keen on amenities. For starters, you'll enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast every morning, and free internet access is also part of the plan. Other free features include all local calls and parking, so it's hard to argue with the rates. Other amenities that guests will enjoy during their stay here include a microwave, a refrigerator, cable TV, basic bath products, and a coffee maker should you request one. The overall hotel facilities are limited to the 24-hour lobby and the breakfast area, but again, it's hard to beat the overall value. With the money that you save here, you might enjoy an area tour or perhaps fit in a round of golf. There are two golf courses within easy reach, so don't forget your clubs if you like to play.

The other option for Talladega hotels that are actually in or around town is the Budget Inn and Suites Talladega. You'll probably be more content staying at the Super 8, but should that be booked, you can always consider a stay here. You're just eight miles from the Talladega Speedway when you stay at the Budget Inn and Suites, and DeSoto Caverns Park is just fifteen miles off if you want to do a bit of hiking or take advantage of the park's more than 20 attractions. As for the rooms at this cheap accommodation in Talladega, they aren't exactly anything to write home about. Recent renovations have done well to clean them up a bit, however, and you can pay extra to get a King Room with a Jacuzzi tub if you are interested. As for the overall amenities at the Budget Inn and Suites Talladega, they include free local calls, a complimentary continental breakfast, a microwave, a mini-fridge, high-speed internet access, a coffee maker, and cable TV. A meeting/banquet room for up to 200 people, an outdoor pool, and a guest laundry area comprise the hotel's facilities.

Since the Talladega hotels are limited, you can check out some of the Talladega Superspeedway hotels, which are also of the discount variety, or you can opt for a stay at a bed and breakfast. There are a few good B&B's in the area, and among the best is the Somerset House Bed and Breakfast, which can be found in town near Route 21. The Timber Ridge Golf Club is not far off to the east for those who want to golf during their Alabama vacation, and you're just blocks from the historic town square if you want to enjoy a walking tour. A full gourmet breakfast will help you get your day started should you stay here, and while there are only four rooms to choose from, they are all rather charming. In addition to twelve-foot ceilings and a fireplace, each room also boasts antique furniture, a queen-size bed, cable TV, a VCR, a CD player, and wireless internet access. Robes and slippers are provided for guests in the private bathrooms, which also feature signature toiletries and a hair dryer. Other amenities that you'll enjoy here include central air conditioning and heating, and an iron and ironing board. As for what you'll find outside of the rooms, there is a front parlor with a piano, a library, some various games, and complimentary coffee, soft drinks, and bottled water. Complimentary wine is served in the afternoons, and come bedtime you'll be treated to some sweets to help you enjoy your stay.

If you don't want to stay at one of the aforementioned Talladega lodging establishments, there are other B&B's in the area. You can also look to Cheaha State Park, which is not too far off from town. You can camp at the park if you so desire, or you can rent a cabin, a chalet, or book a room in the Group Lodge. As for the cabins and chalets, they are quite nice. Among the amenities in the cabins are fireplaces, private bathrooms, kitchenettes, heating and air-conditioning, microwaves and more. The chalets, which are a bit larger, pretty much offer the same kinds of amenities, and while you'll enjoy being close to nature in these units, you certainly won't be roughing it. In fact, you are likely to be surprised at how nice the cabins and chalets are. If nothing else, they both boast rustic and eye-catching decors, so there's plenty of character to the place. As for the lodge here, or resort as it could be called, it is available for groups to rent. The lodge tends to fill up fast, so if you're interested in having a conference, a company party, or other event, make your reservations soon. This unique Talladega lodging is complete with a conference room, dining facilities, private parking, and bedrooms with private baths. Amenities in the lodge rooms don't include TVs, but most people don't come to hang out in their rooms anyhow. They are usually busy with work or out enjoying all that the surrounding park has to offer.
