Phoenix Restaurants

Phoenix restaurants range from fast food eateries that can be good for when you're on the go to fine dining establishments with more innovative menus that are suited for special occasions. Since Phoenix is so close to the Mexico border, finding some authentic Mexican food is a relatively easy pursuit, and thanks to the many steakhouses in the area, getting a juicy steak is always an option. When it comes to dining in Phoenix, Scottsdale and the other suburbs are worth exploring, as they are home to their own collections of restaurants.

Between the Phoenix restaurants and the ones that can be found in the surrounding cities, there are literally hundreds of dining options, and for true food fanatics, planning a visit around a food festival can be a good idea. The Scottsdale Culinary Festival is arguably the best Phoenix area food festival, and it takes place in mid-April. Around 50 restaurants from the region are showcased at the Scottsdale Culinary Festival, and plenty of good wine is on hand to go with all the good food.

As far as the best restaurants in Phoenix Arizona are concerned, the Downtown District is home to some of the best. A relatively healthy collection of sports bars that serve burgers and other bar food favorites figure among the Downtown Phoenix restaurants, partly because of the presence of Chase Field and the US Airways Center. When a fine dining experience is in order, the upscale Downtown hotels are great places to look into. Another good place to go when looking for the best restaurants in Phoenix Arizona is the upscale Biltmore District. This district is especially ideal for fine dining pursuits, with luxury hotels such as the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa and the Ritz-Carlton Phoenix boasting some of the top restaurants around. You can also venture over to the Biltmore Fashion Park, where upscale shops mix with some relatively upscale eateries.

Many of the best restaurants in Phoenix Arizona are located at upscale hotels or resorts. The same can be said about the best Scottsdale restaurants, though Old Town Scottsdale has around a dozen excellent independent restaurants that also deserve consideration. Scottsdale is home to an impressive amount of attractive resorts, and these resorts are known for the quality of their dining options, not to mention the quality of their other facilities, which typically include a golf course and a spa.

Complementing the Phoenix and Scottsdale restaurants are the restaurants that can be found in Glendale, Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler. Over in Chandler, a stop at the local brewery's restaurant can always add some substance to a visit, while Tempe's Mill Avenue District and Tempe Marketplace are fine places to dine, not to mention shop. Over in Mesa, checking out a local dinner theater might be the way to go.

Regardless of where you find yourself in the Phoenix area, a good restaurant is never far away, and if you're worn out after a busy day, many of the area hotels offer room service. You can also book a hotel room or suite that has kitchen facilities, which can come in handy when you don't want to go out for a meal. Having a full kitchen is also part of the deal when you book a vacation rental property. Thanks to the number of Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler and Scottsdale restaurants, however, leaving the cooking up to someone else can be the most tempting option when you get hungry.

The Phoenix restaurants and the restaurants that can be found in the surrounding area specialize in a range of cuisines, including American and Mexican. Southwestern fare is the cuisine of choice at many regional restaurants, and you can also indulge in Italian, Greek, or Indian food, not to mention a host of other worldly cuisines. When a mix of cuisines and a healthy array of food choices are what you have in mind, a Sunday brunch at an area resort can make for the most rewarding dining experience. The area resorts aren't the only establishments that offer good Sunday brunches, however. The restaurant at the Wrigley Mansion offers what is arguably the best Sunday brunch in the area.
