Edgefest brings some of the biggest names in rock to Arkansas—really putting the rock in Little Rock. This festival is one of the top attractions in Arkansas and a great thing to add to any vacation itinerary.

Edgefest Facts and History

Sponsored by a local radio station, the Edge 100.3, the concert became a crowd favorite its first year. Ever since the first concert in 2006, more and more fans have flocked to Little Rock for one of the coolest things to do in Little Rock. Edgefest Little Rock Arkansas (not to be confused with Toronto's Edgefest) takes place on on a Saturday in April. The first few festivals were held along the river, the same place where Riverfest is held on Memorial Day weekend. More than 7,000 people gathered to hear Rob Zombie, Anthrax, and several other bands. Each year, the concert got bigger and drew more and more crowds. Kid Rock, Godsmack, and Korn are just some of the headliners that have entertained their fans over the Edgefest history.

After a muddy show at Cooper Farm in 2009, the organizers looked for a better place to hold Edge Fest Little Rock Arkansas and found just the place. The Arkansas State Fair complex in North Little Rock had plenty of room for the 18,000-plus people who gathered the next year for the return of Godsmack and Rob Zombie. With facilities equipped for handling crowds, the state fairgrounds are the perfect place to hold the one-day music festival. The concerts are held outside, and concert goers are welcome to bring along blankets, but they should leave the lawn chairs and umbrellas at home.
