Disneyland Parking

Disneyland parking is available in good supply, so anyone who is driving in won't have to worry about where they are going to leave their car. Depending on your needs, you might rely on theme park parking, which involves parking in a lot that offers easy access to both Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure Park. The theme park lots are ideal for those who are planning on visiting the resort for the day. It's not the only option that is worth keeping in mind, however, and if you are planning on staying within the park boundaries, you can always choose to park at your hotel of choice.

The Disneyland parking options are divided into three main categories. Theme Park Parking is available for those who are just dropping by for the day to enjoy the attractions at Disneyland Park and/or California Park. The daily fees differ according to the vehicle, and you can choose from one of two lots. These lots include the Mickey & Friends lot and the Toy Story lot. As far as Disneyland parking tips are concerned, the Mickey & Friends lot is found right off the freeway, which is convenient. That being said, getting in and out of the Toy Story lot is usually easier, and the fact that you can buy tickets there is also handy.

Also worth mentioning when it comes to Disneyland parking tips is the fact that you can park at no cost for up to three hours at Downtown Disney. The three hours can be extended to five if you get validation from one of the restaurants or the movie theater. After the free time is up, the charges are assessed according to twenty-minute increments, and there is a maximum fee that applies if you decide to leave your vehicle for an extended period of time. Once you park at Downtown Disney, you can enjoy everything that it has to offer or hop on the Disneyland Monorail and access Disneyland Park's Tomorrowland area.

The final Disneyland parking option is aptly referred to as hotel parking. All three Disneyland hotels offer both self parking and valet parking for guests. You'll have to pay a fee to enjoy the valet parking service, though it doesn't cost extra for the self parking. If you are only interested in dining at one of the Disneyland hotel restaurants, some offer validation parking for the hotel lot. This can cover you for up to five hours. The Disney hotel restaurants offer some wonderful character dining opportunities, and this is just part of the reason why they are so popular.

If you only need to drop someone off at Disneyland, there are guest drop off areas. Anyone parking in these areas can linger for up to fifteen minutes. If you are planning on buying a Disneyland Annual Passport, it comes with a Disneyland parking pass that allows you to park for free whenever you visit. You can also purchase pre-paid parking vouchers if you want to have it all sorted out before you arrive. Regardless of where you end up parking or whether you have a special pass or not, taking a picture of the nearest parking sign after you find a spot is recommended. It can be easy to forget where your vehicle is after a full day of fun at this famous vacation destination.
