Hermosa Beach Hotels

When looking for lodging in Hermosa Beach, you won’t find too many hotel choices. That being said, there are some nice hotels here where you can not only get a good, clean room, but also a good price. The affordability of the hotels is part of what makes Hermosa Beach so popular with Los Angeles area visitors. While there are no Hermosa Beach resorts to choose from, there are some great beach hotels here that have you close to the sand, not to mention close to everything else that this small city has to offer. If you stay at one of the Hermosa Beach hotels that is a bit more inland, you can expect the rates to be a bit lighter, just in case you want value over location. All of the Hermosa Beach hotels have you close enough to the beach, so even if you aren’t steps from the sand, it won’t take you long to get there.

While there are no Hermosa Beach resorts to speak of, those looking for the resort experience might be interested in the Grandview Inn. No other hotel in the city is closer to the beach, which is why the rates here are relatively high. That being said, high rates in Hermosa Beach are still pretty affordable, so you still get a lot in the way of value when you stay here. As far as the rooms are concerned at the Grandview Inn, they are certainly not luxurious. They are clean and comfortable, however, and some even offer great ocean views. Amenities that you can expect in the guest rooms include a refrigerator, a wet bar, a balcony, a king-size bed or two queen-size beds, air conditioning, and cable TV. If you book a more expensive oceanfront room, you’ll also have a full kitchen at your disposal. Parking is free here, which is a nice plus, and once you park, you won’t likely need your car. Everything is within walking distance. Such is the case at the Beach House at Hermosa Beach, which offers some of the most luxurious rooms in town.

For those arriving on flights to LAX, the Beach House is just a 10-minute drive away, which is true of all the Hermosa Beach hotels, so you can get here practically in no time. The Beach House has a sister property in Half Moon Bay that you might also consider if you’re heading up towards San Francisco. Those looking for Hermosa Beach resorts will do well to book a stay at the Beach House, as it offers a resort feel. It might lack extensive facilities, but you’ll certainly enjoy a terrific location and great rooms. All of the Beach House’s 96 rooms, or suites as they are called, are tastefully decorated and feature amenities such as a private balcony, a spacious bathroom, two cable TVs, a refrigerator, a microwave, free high-speed internet access, and a fireplace. The list of amenities for guests at the Beach House goes on, and included in the rates are a complimentary breakfast and access to the hotel’s fitness room. If you can’t quite swing the rates at the Beach House at Hermosa Beach, there are a couple of lower-priced Hermosa Beach hotels that will also have you close to the beach and the area shops and restaurants. The Sea Sprite Motel and Apartments is one of the cheaper options when it comes to Hermosa Beach hotels, as is the Surf City Motel, which is a hostel. Both are low on frills, but gentle on budgets, and if you plan on spending little time in your room, they should be ideal.

If staying within steps of the beach isn’t the most important thing to you when looking for lodging in Hermosa Beach, there are some chain brand hotels a bit further inland that offer excellent rooms at excellent prices. Among them are the Holiday Inn and Suites, the Hampton Inn and Suites, and the Quality Inn and Suites. All of these hotels are similar as far as the overall lodging experience goes, so if one is booked, you should be fine at another. You’re still within walking distance of the beach when you stay at these hotels, so the location is not exactly bad by any means. The rooms at these chain hotels are pretty nice, each boasting amenities such as a comfortable bed, cable TV, internet access, a balcony, an alarm clock, a coffee maker, a hair dryer, air conditioning, a work desk, and a refrigerator, among others. In addition to the inland chain brand hotels, you might also consider the Hotel Hermosa, which is a discount boutique hotel that is also a bit inland. While the rooms at the older Hotel Hermosa might be a bit dated, they are clean and good on amenities, so you should enjoy a comfortable stay.

Should you be interested in finding more choices for lodging in Hermosa Beach after considering the aforementioned hotels, you can also look to the city’s vacation rentals. From 1-bedroom beach apartments to 5-bedroom homes, the rather luxurious vacation rentals in Hermosa Beach certainly deserve some attention. In addition to vacation rentals, those looking to stay near Hermosa Beach can also check out Manhattan Beach to the near north, and Redondo Beach to the near south. Just remember to book your lodging in Southern California in advance during the summer months, as this is the prime tourism season. You wouldn’t want to show up without a room during a pro volleyball tournament, or during any other busy weekend for that matter, as it can be hard to find a place to sleep.
