The Los Angeles International Airport is one of the top ten busiest airports in the world, and it can be found near the coast between Manhattan Beach and Marina del Rey. Also known as LAX, this large airport offers easy access to Santa Monica and its beaches, and it's only about a half-hour drive from the downtown area. LAX has no fewer than nine terminals, so it can handle a lot of air traffic. Though the airport is big, it is impressively easy to navigate. Free buses are available to get travelers from the discount parking lots to the terminals, as these lots are farther away.

A number of nonstop flights arrive at this Burbank airport, and the bulk of them come from destinations within the western U.S. The airport is especially ideal for those who are traveling between LA and Las Vegas.
