Mountain High Ski Resort

Mountain High Ski Resort is located in Southern California, making it possible for residents of the likes of Los Angeles and San Diego to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and a range of other winter sports activities. Mountain High Ski Area is only about an hour from Los Angeles to the southwest, San Bernardino to the southeast, and Santa Clarita to the west. The highest elevation at Mountain High peaks out at around 8,200 feet and there are nearly 300 acres of skiable terrain. Although the area gets around 140 inches of snow every year, the resort is equipped to produce artificial snow as needed. There are 59 trails altogether at Mountain High Ski Resort. Fourteen of these trails are well groomed and reserved for novice skiers and snowboarders. Many of the lessons offered at the Mountain High Ski Area take place on these runs. For intermediate skiers and snowboarders, 23 percent of the trails are best, while 22 percent are set aside for the most advanced skiers and snowboarders. There are a variety of Mountain High ski packages that include passes for a single day, multiple-day passes, season passes, and a selection of options that include savings on accommodations. There are even ticket deals such as the Two for Tuesday package that includes a two for one price. There is live music, drink specials, two for one lift passes, and many more alluring opportunities for savings.

The Mountain High Ski Resort is actually comprised of three separate resorts, all within one mile of each other. The West Resort is known for its difficult terrain and challenging runs, as well as its youthful atmosphere. The West Resort is the location for many on-hill contests, as well as a variety of concerts, shows, and other such activities. The West Resort is also the only such place in Southern California that is open seven nights a week. The East Resort boasts the longest trails to be found anywhere in Southern California as is renowned for its intense moguls and gladed skiing areas. The views of the Mojave Desert from 8,200 feet above sea level are pretty impressive to say the very least. The North Resort is perfect for beginners and families with small children. There are over 70 acres of beginner’s runs in the North Resort. This is also where the popular North Pole Tubing Park is located (another favorite with the kids). One of the fantastic things about the Mountain High Ski Area is that it offers complimentary shuttle transport back and forth between each of the resorts. The shuttles operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week during the open season.
