Mountain View CA is a city of approximately 75,000 residents that is named for its views of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The location of the city is the famed Silicon Valley, which  in turn calls the San Francisco Bay Area home and is known for its high technology companies. Falling in line with the area, Mountain View itself is home to numerous high technology operations. Notable companies that have their headquarters in Mountain View CA include Google, Mozilla Foundation, Symantec, and Intuit.

The city of Mountain View certainly attracts its fair share of business travelers. This is more than just a place where technologies are developed and business gets done, however. Visitors who have sightseeing and such in mind can drop by the Computer History Museum to observe the largest collection of computing artifacts or head to Shoreline Park for some golfing, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, biking, jogging, windsurfing, or any other number of activities. A wildlife refuge at the end of the bay provides opportunities for birdwatching as well. Also worth noting at Shoreline Park is the Shoreline Amphitheatre, which opened in 1986 and often plays host to big name music acts. Back in downtown Mountain View, pedestrian-friendly streets await, as do restaurants, cafes, shops, lovely Pioneer Park, and the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts.

Mountain View CA Hotels

As is true of the hotels in neighboring Palo Alto, the Mountain View CA hotels offer a lot in the way of variety and are mostly found along the major area thoroughfare that is El Camino Real.
