Pebble Beach Golf Course For many golf vacations enthusiasts, the words “California golf resort” and “Pebble Beach Golf Course” are synonymous. Pebble Beach Golf Course is a popular destination for many people considering California golf vacations. If you are looking for a golf Monterey package, this is a course worth looking at.

Pebble Beach Golf Course The Championship Golf Course at Pebble Beach has played host to a number of world class tournaments. These include the U.S. Open, as well as the annual AT&s;T Pebble Beach Pro Am. It is scheduled to host the U.S. Open again in 2010. For those of you who are considering California golf vacations at that time, be sure to plan well in advance. This popular California golf resort will surely be booked up at an early date.

Pebble Beach Golf Course is located in the Delmonte Forest, which is right next to the Pacific Ocean. Many people taking California golf vacations refer to it as “The Greatest Meeting of Land, Sea, and Sky in the World.” Many people on golf travel vacations regard the Pebble Beach Golf Course as one the most beautiful golf courses in the world. In 2001 Pebble Beach Golf Course became the first public course to be selected by Golf Digest Magazine as the No.1 Golf Course in America.

Pebble Beach Golf Course was designed by Jack Neville and Douglas Grant. It opened on February 22, 1919. The current “figure-8” routing that you see today is exactly the same one that Neville and Grant laid out in 1919. Prior to the 1992 U.S. Open Jack Nicklaus made a few alterations to the course, which included rebuilding the 4th, 5th and 7th greens. He also designed a replacement 5th hole in 1998.

If you have been researching California golf vacations that involve an excellent golf school, consider Pebble Beach Golf Academy. This superb golf Monterey program allows you to see before and after videos of your game. The program covers putting skills and long game and short game instructional advice. The instructors will also provide information about the mental aspects of the game, as well as the types of conditioning programs that are suitable for it.

If you do decide on the Pebble Beach Golf Course for your California golf vacation, there are a number of golf Monterey packages available. The Lodge at Pebble Beach offers three nights of lodging and three days of golf. At Casa Palmero, you can select from any of six treatments at the Spa at Pebble Beach and enjoy a caddied round of golf for two at the Pebble Beach Golf Course. You can also drive a Lexus SC430 Convertible Coupe for the length of your stay. The Inn at Spanish Bay offers two night s accommodation, along with two rounds of golf.
