Oceanside Hotels

A city that has managed to maintain its small town feel, Oceanside is definitely an ideal San Diego County destination if relaxation and fun in the sun are what you seek. In addition to great beaches, visitors to Oceanside will find a nice variety of shops and restaurants, not to mention a good amount of lodging choices. Oceanside lodging ranges from resorts to vacation rentals, so finding the right accommodations for your trip shouldn’t be a hassle. Wherever you stay in town, you’ll never be too far from the sand, so even if you don’t land a room at one of the beach hotels in Oceanside, you’ll still be able to enjoy plenty of beach time without a lot of travel in between.

For visitors who want the luxury Oceanside lodging experience, the vacation rental properties are among the best bets. As far as the Oceanside hotels are concerned, overly luxurious rooms are hard to find. That’s not to say that you can’t secure a nice room with lots of amenities. It just means that utter opulence is not part of the picture. Two of the Oceanside resorts are among the most luxurious hotels in town, and they are the Blue Whale Resort and the Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort. Families will do well to book a stay at either, as they offer great rooms and ample facilities. They both also offer proximity to the beach, which is a nice bonus. At the Blue Whale Resort you can rent a studio, a one-bedroom, or a two-bedroom suite, each of which has a full kitchen. Each unit is tastefully decorated and exhibits a homey feel, which helps to make them popular with families. At the Wyndham, the rather luxurious rooms and condo-style guest units are among the best rooms in town when it comes to comfort.
If the Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort interests you, there is a good chance that you will like the Residence Inn San Diego Oceanside Hotel as well. It too offers some luxurious rooms at an excellent price. Modern amenities like plasma TVs and complimentary high-speed internet access are standard in the rooms at the Residence Inn Oceanside Hotel, and like the aforementioned hotels, a complimentary breakfast is included in the rates. The overall facilities at this hotel are akin to those at the Wyndham, so if you can’t get a room at one, you should be happy with the other. Falling into the same neighborhood when it comes to rates, the Southern California Beach Club also deserves a look when deciding where to stay. You’re just steps from the Pacific Ocean when you choose the Southern California Beach Club as your Oceanside lodging, and each guest room offers ocean views, so it’s all about relaxation. When you’re not off enjoying area attractions like the San Diego Zoo or Sea World San Diego, relaxing on your private balcony is a great way to pass some time. You might also hit the hotel’s rooftop Jacuzzi to enjoy the ocean views as well. As is the case at the Blue Whale Resort, there are studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom beach apartments that serve as guest units at the Southern California Beach Club, and among their amenities are a full kitchen and cable TV.
There are a considerable amount of mid- and value-priced Oceanside hotels to choose from, so you certainly won’t be limited to a handful of choices, as is true at some of the other California beach towns. In addition to the Residence Inn and the Wyndham Resort, those looking for excellent mid-priced Oceanside hotels will want to add the La Quinta Inn Oceanside and the Comfort Suites Marina to their list of possible choices. If you are still looking for lower rates, the Motel 6 Oceanside Downtown is a great candidate. Sure, the rooms at the Motel 6 might be pretty basic, but if you’re here to enjoy the outdoors and the city itself, then you won’t spend a bunch of time in your room anyhow. Your remaining choices for Oceanside hotels consist mostly of other discount chain brands that offer good clean rooms at low prices.
Understandably, the beach hotels in Oceanside will cost a bit more than those that are further removed from the shoreline. In addition to the beach hotels in Oceanside, those wanting to be within steps of the sand can also book a stay at one of the Oceanside vacation rentals. Like the Oceanside hotels, the bulk of the vacation rentals here are found on the northwest side of town. The majority of the Oceanside vacation rentals are beach apartments, or condos if you prefer, though there are a few homes mixed in as well. Depending on the size of your vacation rental, it can have anywhere from 1 to 9 bedrooms. All of them have full kitchens, which is convenient, and the majority of them are rather upscale. As mentioned, those seeking luxury Oceanside lodging will want to take a second to check out the vacation rentals, as they offer some of the most luxurious digs in town.
