The Keating Hotel
The Keating Hotel
432 F Street
San Diego, California

The five-story Keating hotel has a premier place in the Gaslamp District of San Diego combined with the private feel of a luxury boutique hotel. The Keating’s location at Fifth Avenue and F Street offers easy access to Horton Plaza, the Convention Center, Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, and PETCO Park, home of the Padres baseball team.

Designed by Paolo Pininfarina, the Keating’s Italian design is clean yet sophisticated, with a lobby featuring shades of scarlet on the walls, floors, and ceilings, as well as floral accents and steel furnishings.

The 35 guest rooms in the hotel display a similar design, with natural light highlighted the cream and brick walls and the vaulted ceilings. Steel and crimson-upholstered furniture complement the mahogany-stained wooden bed frames. Each room includes feather beds, Italian linens, goose-down pillows, and pillowtop mattresses, as well as desks, a plasma TV, internet access, and an espresso machine.

The semiprivate Keating Lounge has an extensive wine list and serves cocktails, while The Merk Bistro Italiano serves Italian food with a California touch. Room service is also available, and the Keating provides other fee services, including in-room massage treatments, valet parking, and a limo or town car service.

The Keating’s modern appeal combines materials, colors, and lights that are mean to welcome guests to this lifestyle hotel’s high standard of personalized service.
