AT&T Park

AT&T Park is one of the finest ballparks in the United States, and it occupies a prime piece of real estate in beautiful San Francisco, close to many major attractions and AT&T Park hotels. From nearly every vantage point within this bayside baseball stadium, visitors will enjoy views of the water, and nothing more than foul poles obstruct the views of the field. Since AT&T Park can be found on the banks of the San Francisco Bay, some of the balls that are hit over the right field wall end up in the water. More often than not, kayakers lie in wait in the bay, hoping to get their hands on one of the home run souvenirs.

While the AT&T Park events aren't limited to baseball games, America's pastime certainly takes center stage. The park is primarily a baseball venue, and it is home to the San Francisco Giants. This Major League Baseball franchise is well loved by San Francisco natives, which makes getting tickets a relatively difficult pursuit. AT&T Park can accommodate 40,800 fans, and rare is the game that doesn't sell out. Before and after the games, the bars and restaurants near the stadium are alive with fanfare, which adds to the overall atmosphere.

Tickets to AT&T Park tend to be on the expensive side when they become available. As such, anyone who wants to see the San Francisco Giants play while in town might try to get their hands on one of the 500 bleacher seats. The only problem with these discount tickets is that anyone who hopes to purchase them will have to show up at the park four hours prior to game time to get a lottery number. They will then have to return to the stadium two hours before game time to get their tickets should their number be called.

Interestingly enough, you don't have to have tickets to see the San Francisco Giants play. Just behind the right field wall at AT&T Park is a bar that features portholes with views of the field. Patrons can purchase a beverage and pull up a seat by one of the portholes and enjoy some of the action. It's customary to watch an inning or two before surrendering the prime seats to other patrons.

Anyone who wants to get a good look at AT&T Park can also schedule a tour. The guided tours of this awesome ballpark take visitors behind the scenes, affording them inside looks at things like the press box, the visitor's clubhouse, and the dugouts, and other interesting facets of the park.

Anyone who is interested in seeing a baseball game at AT&T Park will want to enjoy their San Francisco visit between the months of April and October. As has long been the case, this is when the Major League Baseball season runs its course. Stadium tours can be enjoyed year round and take place between 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., provided that there isn't a day game. The tour prices are reasonable, and they can be fun for visitors of all ages.

It's important to note that not all of the AT&T Park events are baseball games. This breathtaking venue plays host to a range of featured events, and they can include anything from a Supercross racing event to a Cirque Du Soleil show. Big ticket concerts are also held at the park from time to time, and the California Redwoods, which is a team from the newly developed United Football League, is also set to play its home games here. There always seems to be something going on at this impressive venue, in which case San Francisco visitors might want to consult the AT&T Park events schedule when planning things to do.
