Cascading waterfalls, a meandering brook and a romantic garden gazebo grace an acre of gardens, pines and redwoods surrounding this secluded urban inn. Built in 1909 on the foundation of an 1870*s tannery, a 1790*s grist mill and a 2000 year old Indian fishing village, the Babbling Brook Inn is the oldest and largest Bed and Breakfast Inn of the Santa Cruz area. The inn is rated by AAA as a 3 Diamond establishment. The 13 rooms are decorated in styles that represent the works of Old World artists and poets- Monet, Tennyson, Degas, Cezanne and Renoir. Every room has a cozy featherbed, television-VCR and delightful views of the gardens and brook. Most rooms have gas fireplaces and one or two person whirlpool tubs. The Artist*s Retreat has a spacious deck with a recessed hot tub overlooking the gardens and brook. 10 USD processing fee for all cancellations.
