When golfers aren't making their way around the tight course, they can hit the driving range or visit one of the two restaurants. Ample amenities can also be found at the City Park Golf Course, and for those who are staying at one of the Downtown Denver hotels, this municipal course is closer to the heart of town than the Wellshire.

In addition to these top three public golf courses in Denver, visitors who want to tee it up while in town can also keep the other municipal courses in mind. Some of the municipal courses are 9-hole, par-3 courses that can be better when a quick round is the aim. One such course is the Harvard Gulch Golf Course. Other Denver golf courses that visitors can think of playing include non-municipal courses such as the Green Valley Ranch Golf Club and the Park Hill Golf Course. The former is less than twenty miles from the heart of the city. As for the Park Hill Golf Course, it is closer to Downtown Denver.
