Spring and summer aren’t the only times to enjoy Connecticut getaways.  Winter is a perfect time to cross country ski on one of Connecticut’s many groomed trails and explore the woods and wilderness areas with snowshoes.  Simply driving along the scenic wooded roads of rural Connecticut and enjoying the changing colors of the leaves is a great way to spend Connecticut trips during the fall.  Skiing is also a popular activity that makes for adventurous Connecticut getaways.  Many people don’t realize that even the most adventurous of skiers will find a ski resort to meet their needs.  The ski resorts in Connecticut are smaller than most resorts in other parts of New England and snow fall is a bit lower on average.  None the less, Connecticut ski resorts are perfect for a family outing and are popular for last-minute New England Vacations.

The winter months are also a perfect time for checking out the many indoor activities that Connecticut has to offer.
