Though the Delaware beach towns are close to each other, each seems to maintain its own identity. The Dover Downs Hotels and Casino brings a taste of the Vegas Strip to Dover, and south of the city, the Harrington Raceway and Casino offers up horse racing and more than 2,000 full-service gaming machines. Twice a year, NASCAR comes to town in Dover, and these yearly events are among the state's biggest. Speaking of Delaware events, you might check ahead of time so you can plan to catch one or more during your vacation in Delaware. The July Sandcastle Contest in Rehoboth Beach has got to be one of the more enjoyable, and its just one of many great yearly Delaware events worth taking part in.

Delaware vacation spots can see you enjoying a list of activities and attractions that can surely keep you occupied. Delaware golf is worth checking out if you like to play, and there are a bunch of nice courses found near some of the prime Delaware vacation spots. Delaware fishing offers anglers a pleasurable experience, as both freshwater and saltwater fishing can be enjoyed here. You can toss a line into a lake or pond at one of the Delaware State Parks, or arrange a charter fishing trip that has you sportfishing 100 miles off the coast. Delaware tours exist in good quantity, so you will want to consider taking advantage of them. You can definitely get a workout both mentally and physically on Delaware vacations. When you find yourself a bit worn down, you can always to head to one of the Delaware spas to rejuvenate your body and soul. There seems to be more and more joining the scene, so you might duck into one to pamper yourself. Who knew a state this small could have so much? And, there's so much more! It's a wonderful thing, really.
