Bartow Florida

Bartow is the county seat of Polk County, Florida. Nicknamed the "City of Oaks and Azaleas," it enjoys a convenient Central Florida location approximately 40 miles east of the Tampa Bay Area and about 50 miles southwest of Greater Orlando. Bartow visitors have all kinds of regional attractions to consider, including Walt Disney World, and the city itself offers various options for things to do. Particularly noteworthy are the homes and buildings that are found in the historic districts of Bartow Florida. These districts are known as the Downtown Commercial District, the Northeast Residential District and the South Residential District. The most recognizable historic structure in Bartow is the Old Polk County Courthouse at 100 East Main Street. Dating back to 1909, it exhibits a beautiful Classical Revival style of architecture and is the home of the Polk County Historical Museum.
