Boynton Beach Florida

The city of Boynton Beach enjoys a privileged location in Palm Beach County along Florida’s Gold Coast. Other Gold Coast destinations include the likes of Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Palm Beach, and Miami. In this part of the state, Atlantic Ocean beaches nearly meet the Everglades, providing an ideal backdrop for Florida vacations. In Boynton Beach itself, the beautiful beaches have long been the main draw. Redevelopment of the downtown area and the marina have brought a whole new interest to Boynton Beach vacations.

When Boynton Beach visitors aren’t relaxing on the sand or enjoying Everglades tours, they can take in some of the city’s cultural attractions. At 306 S.E. First Avenue, the Andrews Home offers insight into the city’s history. The oldest home in town, it dates back to 1901 and displays interesting historical items that were found in the immediate area. For families, the Schoolhouse Children’s Museum at 129 East Ocean Avenue has hands-on exhibits that can add enjoyable depth to the itinerary. Another Boynton Beach Florida attraction worth noting is the Lofthus shipwreck. This underwater archaeological preserve is a favorite among the area scuba diving crowd.
