Shopping in Clearwater Florida is just one of the options when it comes to fun things to do, and you can definitely grab some interesting things while in town. Finding stores in Clearwater won't be hard, as the city is full of shops. In fact, some of the area's top shops can be found near popular attractions, which makes shopping in Clearwater convenient. At the Clearwater Municipal Marina, for example, there are a handful of specialty stores that you can visit when you're not booking sightseeing cruises or renting a catamaran. Perhaps you'll find something that you just have to have at the jewelry shop, or maybe you just want to pick up some souvenirs. Another good place to go if you're up for some Clearwater shopping is the Westfield Countryside Mall, which is close to another attraction that you're likely to visit.
The Westfield Countryside Mall is one of the best places to go if you're looking for some stores in Clearwater. Just a short drive from the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, this mall enjoys a good location and is easy to find. Once you arrive, there will be more than 160 stores at your disposal. You can get everything from shoes and clothes to home furnishings and electronics at the Westfield Countryside Mall, and the food court offers some good variety as well. You can also enjoy a meal at one of the full-service restaurants while shopping here. In addition to eating, you can take a break at the Westfield Countryside Mall to go ice skating at the in-mall rink. Should you enjoy your time at the Westfield Countryside Mall, another mall that you might add to your Clearwater shopping itinerary is the Clearwater Mall, which offers a variety of specialty and brand name stores. There's also the Largo Mall in nearby Largo, which features an array of brand name stores and a cinema. Between the shopping centers in Clearwater proper and the shopping centers in the surrounding area, you can definitely shop until you drop.
The area malls are the only places to go if you're interested in hitting a bunch of different stores in Clearwater. Just south of Clearwater Beach, the Shoppes on Sand Key features boutiques that you can explore, and the atmosphere is quite romantic, which adds to the overall experience. While strolling along at this boardwalk shopping area, you're bound to find some things that interest you. When you're not shopping, you can get something to eat at one of the restaurants or watch the dolphins play for a while. Back up in Clearwater Beach, there are plenty of souvenir and beach gear shops that you can spend some time at when you're not soaking up some rays. Most of the shops line Gulfview Blvd, which is the main avenue in town. When you're up for some laid-back Clearwater shopping, a stroll down Gulfview Blvd should prove to be more than satisfying.
You can spend hours on end when making the rounds at the numerous stores in Clearwater, and should you want to add to your shopping opportunities, you can also check out the stores in other area destinations. St Petersburg shopping presents some interesting options, as does Tampa shopping, and you can shop until you drop at John's Pass Village in Madeira Beach. As for switching things up a little while shopping in Clearwater, there's always the Clearwater Farmers Market, which is open on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you book a vacation rental or are staying in a hotel room with kitchen facilities, stocking up on some fresh fare at the farmer's market is always a good idea.
The stores in Clearwater might not be what put the city on the map, but you can do your fair share of shopping here when you're not relaxing on the beach. Shopping in Clearwater offers something for everyone, and you can stock up on beach gear while in town if you're in need. Some good galleries can be found in the Clearwater area, so you can also pick up some interesting artwork to bring home with you. Something from a local artist can make for an excellent souvenir, not to mention a fine gift.
