Cocoa Beach Florida

Cocoa Beach Florida is a vacationer's paradise. Not only does the town have miles of fabulous beaches, but its shopping district rivals the stores found in South Beach of Miami. Cocoa Beach Florida has several beach parks, such as Lori Wilson Park, Sidney Fischer Park, and Alan Shepard Park. These beach parks offer a great environment for a game of afternoon volleyball or a stroll along the beach. The fact that the weather in Cocoa Beach Florida is beautiful nearly all year makes it the perfect place for Florida vacations. One of the best places to relax in Cocoa Beach Florida is Alan Shepard Park. Named after the astronaut Alan Shepard, the five acre park provides picnic tables, a restroom and shower facility, and a large parking lot. Alan Shepard park is popular for surfers and boaters, as there is a large pier close to the beach. There are several marinas nearby where you can rent a surf board or a boogie board or take lessons. The beach is accessed by wooden boardwalks that lead to the beach area. There is a fee to park at the beach and it can get quite crowded on the weekends.
Further down the coast is Sidney Fischer Park. The ten-acre beach is a favorite for families seeking a relaxing setting for a picnic and a swim in the ocean. The park, which is named after the mayor of Cocoa Beach in the late 1950s, has picnic pavilions and modern shower facilities. There is a modest fee for parking your car in the parking lot next to Sidney Fischer Park.
After hitting the Florida beaches, check out some of the upscale bars and restaurants of Cocoa Beach Florida. Although the bars and nightclubs aren't as posh as the ones in South Beach, many of them do enforce a dress code. Several of the restaurants specialize in fresh seafood that is caught daily as well as locally grown citrus fruit. One of the best ways to absorb the scene of Cocoa beach is to enjoy a drink at an outdoor sidewalk café in downtown Cocoa Beach.
Downtown Cocoa Beach is known for an extensive selection of Florida day spas. These spas offer everything from quick facials and mini-pedicures to pampering treatments such as sea weed body wraps and stone massages that last the entire day. The spas are a great way to rid your hair of chlorine and relax after a day of sightseeing.
With a thriving beach scene and an array of upscale shops and restaurants, Cocoa Beach makes a perfect day trip from Fort Lauderdale and is a must-see destination for Florida tours.
