Biketoberfest History and Facts
Biketoberfest debuted for the first time in 1992 and was called Daytona Fall Tour. The sole focus around the event was to generate interest around the Daytona International Speedway outside of major races taking place in the fall months. The Fall Tour’s motorcycle tour was a major accomplishment. It encompassed more than 120 miles of Volusia County scenic bike tours as well as races and shows at both Bikefest and the speedway. Along the way local businesses began sponsoring events to be featured at tour, which became Biketoberfest the next year. Trade shows, special activities, and live music concerts were incorporated into festival highlighting more than 40 special events and visitors grew from 5,000 to 15,000 in one short year. A large percentage of visitors arrived from Germany, welcoming the warmth and sunshine and enjoying a world-class motorcycle festival.
Today, Biketoberfest Daytona Beach Florida is an incredibly lively festival that all walks of life, creating an ideal people-watching venue. There are scores of choices for food and live music in many genres as well as a large number of top-notch biker bars.
