Santa Rosa Beach Florida is one of the oldest beach communities in this part of the state and remains among the most popular tourist destinations on the Emerald Coast. Santa Rosa Beach is a part of greater Santa Rosa Island, which includes Navarre Beach, Okaloosa Island, and Pensacola Beach. Santa Rosa Island itself is a barrier island that stretches for 40 miles and separates Pensacola Bay from the Gulf of Mexico. This cool beach and golf resort community is home to the Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club and offers some of the most pristine beaches in the area.
Santa Rosa Beach, like the other beaches in this area, has fine, white sand and beautiful emerald green water. For divers, anglers, and generally, lovers of the sun and water sports, it just may be. There are a wide variety of activities to enjoy on Santa Rosa Beach. These include everything from parasailing and kayaking, to snorkeling, scuba diving, and swimming.
There is a selection of Santa Rosa Beach rentals, which give you the option of being very selective in terms of the size of the place you rent, as well as style and proximity to places you are interested in hanging out. The only caveat is that it is important to make your reservations plenty in advance, especially for the summer months, as Santa Rosa Beach rentals go quickly during this time.
Santa Rosa Beach Florida also offers plenty of opportunities for dining, shopping, entertainment, and activities specifically geared toward families with small children.
