Florida Beach Vacations

Each year, thousands of people throughout the United States and abroad travel to Florida to experience its pristine beaches and warm weather. The state is surrounded by ocean on three sides, which translates to many different possibilities when it comes to beach vacations in Florida. Whether you prefer active Florida beach vacations complete with an array of bars, nightclubs, and volleyball competitions, or you prefer secluded Florida beaches where you can observe nature, there are enough kinds of beach vacations in Florida to make everyone happy.

Many people say that the best Florida beach vacations are spent in South Beach, Miami. South Beach contains miles of white sand beaches, manicured parks with palm trees and walking trails, as well as Miami’s most exclusive bars and restaurants. One particularly interesting aspect of South Beach is its pastel colored art deco buildings that are often illuminated by bright neon lights. Another aspect of South Beach that makes it the spot for the best Florida vacations are its hotels and resorts. The area has a number of hotels and resorts featuring pools, spas, restaurants, and private golf courses. Although there are cheap Florida hotels throughout the state, you probably won’t find very many in the South Beach area.

If you prefer more low-key and affordable Florida beach vacations, head to the beaches of Orlando. Orlando Florida beaches offer clean water and sea shores that are ideally suited for building sand castles or relaxing on the beach. Many of the beach parks have shower facilities, picnic grounds, and playgrounds.

Some of the best Florida Beach vacations are spent in Palm Beach and West Palm Beach. These two towns are well-known for their designer boutiques and acres of beautifully landscaped beach parks. Palm Beach is a popular vacation destination for famous politicians and celebrities wishing to escape the cold weather of New York and other east coast destinations.

If you’re looking for a quiet and secluded beach that is free from development, head to Caspersen Beach in the Venice Beach area. The beach is a popular place to look for prehistoric shark teeth and other fossilized remains of sea life. Each spring, the beach hosts a Sharks Tooth Festival where local fossil collectors display their collections and street vendors sell fresh seafood and other food. The water at Caspersen beach is calm enough for swimmers of all ability levels.

The best Florida beach vacations are the ones that offer something for your entire family or group of friends. Cities such as Panama Beach and St Augustine have many options for entertainment, such as museums, shopping centers, and cultural attractions, as well as fantastic beaches.

If you’re looking into Florida beach vacations, you’re probably wondering when to go. The short answer is, there is no ideal time to travel to Florida. Weather in Florida remains between seventy-five and eighty-five degrees nearly all year. If you’re concerned about the hurricanes that have ravaged the coast lines in recent years, it’s best to avoid Florida during hurricane season in June and July. The majority of people take beach vacations in Florida during the winter, when most other places in the United States are experiencing cold temperatures.
