Little Palm Island Resort & Spa

Once you arrive at the resort, you’ll step away from the ordinary and into a world filled with palm trees, top-flight service and luxuries both big and small. The resort’s accommodations would look right at home in Bali or the South Seas. Instead of filling hotel towers, the suites are spread among villas with thatched roofs. The 30 suites are spread over 15 bungalows, each with king-sized beds custom-made for Little Palm Island, along with ocean views and peaceful patios where you can enjoy the soft breezes. Some of the suites add on outdoor showers, with the utmost of privacy of course, and whirlpool bathtubs. Guests also find relaxation at the spa, simply called SpaTeerre. Here, treatments are designed for health as well as beauty, combing elements from Thailand and Bali. A fitness center, yoga, and mediation classes also keep Little Palm guests feeling good in both body and soul.

Nearly five acres of Florida Keys landscape, Little Palm Island has much to offer beyond the threshold of its suites. Its pool complex offers secluded comfort, complete with a lagoon-style swimming pool and shaded seating just steps away from some of the least crowded Florida beaches. The resort is also home to a Zen garden and hammocks, where you can pause and enjoy a break from the everyday. Guests also have the chance to find a good read in the impressive library or shop for the latest styles in the boutique. Its restaurant blends fresh flavors and expert preparation. Guests also enjoy picnics on the beach and privately in their bungalows.

Little Palm Island Ferry

If you’re not arriving at the resort on your own boat and mooring at the marina, you will need to secure a ride to the Little Palm Resort. Luckily, the resort takes really good care of its guests. A welcome station on neighboring Little Torch Key, about 25 miles from Key West, serves as a ferry terminal. The yacht departs every hour for the 12 hours between 9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Some guests work with a local captain to secure a ride to the secluded island.

Little Torch Key

The resort’s bigger neighbor is still pretty small in size, but it doesn’t mean it’s small in things to do. Named for the torchwood tree, a bright green shrub common to the Caribbean, Little Torch Key is an excellent place for sampling the natural side of the Florida Keys. Diving and snorkeling are very popular, especially at the nearby Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary. Back on shore, you’ll find a handful of restaurants and boutiques on the quiet island, perfect for enjoying.
